PURPOSE:
Responsible for planning, supervising, assigning, leading, and monitoring work of the department. Supervises a team of data engineers and analysts that manages operations of the department responsible for the design and engineering of quality solutions. Ensures and maintains availability, performance, security, automation, DevSecOps and compliance of engineering efforts. Monitors performance and provides recommendations and executes engineering tasks, as needed. Collaborates with senior management to develop team goals and implements new strategies to align with business goals and objectives. Responsible for creating and maintaining area's customer-based service level agreements. Responsible for mentoring staff.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Evaluates deliverables to ensure products and services meet customer expectations. Manages the design of robust, reusable and scalable data products and frameworks to automate the ingestion, processing, and delivery of structured and unstructured batch and real-time streaming data.

Collaborates with internal business units. Partners with other technology teams, data scientists, analytics teams, and business owners in an agile environment. Develops a collaborative, data product culture and finds innovative approaches to professionally develop direct reports.

Leads the planning process to outline deliverables, resources, personnel, and timelines for ongoing projects and products. Responsible for developing a product backlog, prioritizing intake, delivering valuable solutions for our customers and driving incremental technical delivery with a high focus on quality.

Support the implementation of data related tools, frameworks, and applications required to expand our platform capabilities. Oversees the development for data services to support critical operational processes, analytical models, and modernization (including tooling, new API standards, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.) to improve performance, increase value extraction, and increase efficiency by implementing DevSecOps, automation, and standardization of processes, best practices and functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years of relevant engineering experience and demonstrated progressive leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Ability to interpret and relate the business strategy and vision to the data team.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of machine learning techniques and natural language processing (NLP).
• Proficient in programming languages, data tools, cloud technologies (e.g., Python, R, Informatica, DataBricks, Azure, Snowflake, SQL Server, AI/ML).
• Skilled in communicating to others to convey information effectively.
• Ability to create and present presentations.
• Skill in communication via the written word.

Licenses/Certifications: Data Management\Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Upon Hire Preferred

Salary Range: $96,192 - $198,396
