Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Purpose: The Director of Talent Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive talent management strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent within Fort Mill School District. The Director of Talent Management will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive initiatives that support the district's mission, vision, and strategic goals related to our People and Culture.

     

    Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources / CHRO

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with organizational leadership and staff to build consensus around HR goals, strategies, and tactics.
    • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, employee development, and performance management.
    • Strong analytical, creative thinking, oral and written communication, and presentation skills required.
    • Proficiency in using various technology resources, databases, and platforms.
    • 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Supervise a team that is focused on Educator Effectiveness, Induction Coaching, and improving the overall performance of the district.
    • Identify and develop priorities, work sequences, and processes to achieve recruitment, retention, and evaluation goals that align with the District’s mission and vision.
    • Plan, develop, implement, and monitor the District Strategic Plan to achieve recruitment, retention, and evaluation goals.
    • Lead and oversee staff evaluation processes to ensure compliance with State and District expectations.
    • Develop marketing strategies for external and internal partnerships.
    • Represent the District and HR Department at conferences, meetings, seminars, local and national job fairs, and networking events.
    • Maintain strong relationships with administrators, agencies, organizations, and stakeholders.
    • Provide and lead staff development and training for administrators on HR efforts.
    • Collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
    • Stay informed on recruiting and retention trends.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Travel Requirements: Travel to school buildings, professional meetings/conferences, local and national job fairs, and networking events as required.

     

    Physical/Mental Requirements:

    • Office Environment: Work primarily in an office setting, with occasional travel to school buildings, meetings, and events.
    • Prolonged Periods Sitting: Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Lifting Capability: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time as needed during office tasks and event preparations.
    • Fast-paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating deadlines and multiple priorities.
