The Sharon Public Schools is searching for a full-time elementary special education teacher for a Learning Center Positions at Heights Elementary beginning in the 22-23 school year. The successful candidate will have experience delivering specially designed instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning skills. The Learning Center teacher is also responsible for the administration of standardized assessments and evaluations, including evaluation reports for special education initial and re-evaluation eligibility determinations. The Learning Center Teacher also serves as the IEP liaison for students assigned to their caseload. Collaboration and consultation with parents, general education teachers, and related services providers are essential components to the position.
Experience with data analysis, training in Orton Gillingham or Wilson Reading, and knowledge of co-teaching practices is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
