Teacher High School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned secondary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a grade 6-12 classroom setting. Being a Teacher High School evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher High School participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher High School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. As a High School English Teacher you care deeply about the success of your students and create strong relationships to leverage success both in and out of the classroom. You understand the demands of a high paced classroom and create a positive learning environment through consistency and authenticity. You are excited about presenting engaging and differentiated lessons to create opportunities for scholars to develop their skills through reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will work at our Centre St. campus teaching four periods per day. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. Someone coming to us with two years of experience and a master’s degree can expect to make $67,500. Is this You?
