St. Vincent Pallotti is a coeducational, college preparatory school of 430 students with a diverse student body, located in the historical district of Laurel, MD. In 2021, Pallotti celebrated its 100th anniversary of providing Catholic education to Laurel and the surrounding regions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to join our Mathematics department for the 2024-25 school year.

The ideal candidate can teach a variety of math subjects including Algebra, Geometry and higher-level math courses.

• Teach five sections of High School Math most likely to include Algebra I and Geometry (Honors and College prep levels)
• A self-starter with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, parents, staff, and colleagues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and credibility
• Culturally competent with the versatility to work with a diverse group of students
• Initiates, directs and evaluates learning
• Implements the content and curriculum effectively
• Guides students in applying knowledge and skills to new problem solving situations
• Familiarity and competency with learning management systems (such as Plusportals and Google Classroom) and encourages the use of technology in the classroom.

Strongly prefer someone with a bachelor's degree in a mathematics related area as well as some teaching experience. Masters and/or other advanced degrees are encouraged.

Candidates must live in the DMV area and have reliable transportation.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
