  • The Sr. Technical Trainer for ProTechnics is responsible for ensuring the proper training of our Field Service Reps in the US Districts. This position will be involved in the creation and delivery of training curriculum for equipment use, product knowledge, policies/procedures, and job specific skills requirements. This includes assessment of skills, identification of skills gaps, and training plans to bridge those gaps.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Train and develop staff through on-the-job and classroom-based technical training, enabling them to perform all tasks associated with job function.
    • Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for field support personnel.
    • Performs day-to-day duties such as: training, coaching, and guiding current Field Service Reps regarding developing policies, procedures, and/or methods for implementation of training, participating in field visits and responding to requests and questions.
    • Obtains information from third party vendors to prepare training programs; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
    • May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests.
    • Work with District Manager, Operation Managers, and employees to identify and assess any issues in technical training processes. Evaluate, recommend, and/or develop training requirements to meet needs in these areas.
    • Input and track employee training records and review with Management on a timely basis.
    • Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflects product features, meets new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive business culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
    • Responsible for directing staff to complete tasks.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Field Service Representative or equivalent required.
    • Radiation Certified in Well Logging or Subsurface Tracer Operations required.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
    • Must be willing to travel 50% domestically.

    • Ability to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility, trust, and rapport.
    • Ability to function as a facilitator in a classroom setting as well as on cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge and ability to develop, apply and facilitate learning principles of a Field Service Representative in a simulated training environment.
    • Ability to write and produce instructional procedures for the Field Service Representatives.
