Technical Writing Intern

The Technical Writing Intern will play a key role in generating high-quality, compelling, and compliant technical content. Their duties will involve researching, interviewing, and collaborating with subject matter experts to create informative materials that guide and educate customers effectively.

The internship is designed for individuals currently in the pursuit of an Technical Writing degree or related field. This is a temporary position with the possibility of a permanent hire upon completion of the internship. This internship opportunity mandates an on-site presence at our Chandler, AZ facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with engineers shaping our content for Axus Technology products and services while communicating the technical aspects of our engineering products to both highly technical and non-technical audiences.
• Planning, researching, writing, and revising print and online documentation, including procedures, assembly instructions, maintenance checklists, training guides, and general documentation.
• Willingness to work in a challenging and engaging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional development.

Desired skill and Experience:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively facilitate discussions with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.

Education and other Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing or in a related field (Preferred)
• Students actively enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, seeking a degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with our company policy.
