Test Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications. Acts as advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions. Being a Test Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Test Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Test Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Test and Validation Engineering, Manager
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of engineers responsible for post-silicon electrical validation and debug on mixed-signal PCIe SerDes IP
- Oversee the development of evaluation scripts, validating circuit block behavior, evaluating results, and debugging issues in an R&D test lab environment
- Manage schedules and resources to ensure timely and efficient execution of validation activities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop test plans and analysis
Requirements:- B.S./M.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 8 years of experience in silicon validation of high speed SerDes
- Experience with script-based test automation and strong scripting skills in general
- Hands on debug experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with issue and task tracking through Jira/Confluence/Kanban
- Experience with software version control systems such as Perforce
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $136,000 to $204,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
