Top Actuarial Executive provides leadership, innovation, and oversight to an organization's actuarial function. Develops policies, procedures, and formulas to guide statistical analysis and actuarial research and accurately evaluate the likelihood and financial impact of various risks. Being a Top Actuarial Executive ensures policies and procedures are implemented effectively to ensure regulatory compliance of all financial operations and products. Responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of product development. Additionally, Top Actuarial Executive establishes profitability targets and regularly reviews product rates, premium levels, and rating systems to evaluate effectiveness and measure performance against targets. Top Notch has been in business for over 25 years focusing on buying and selling value merchandise into retail chains across the US and Canada such as TJ Max and Marshalls, Big Lots, 5 Below and Dollar Tree.
We work for our retail customers to source closeout merchandise in the marketplace and direct from manufacturers. We also develop and coordinate marketing strategies such as pre-ticketing and/or repackaging of goods to make them retail friendly. We develop targeted products to meet market needs. We, also, at times. represent other closeout companies into retail chains by making sales calls and marketing items for them, as well as organizing shipments to retailers and preparing paperwork for invoicing.
Experienced Associate Buyer Needed to join our rapidly growing company and to expand our buying team.
Position Details-Working in the buying team of the company to source and purchase closeout products and design products for our company. This is a fast past process as deals move quickly! A love of product and negotiating pricing is a perfect match for this role!
Potential for advancement to a buying position will be mentored and encouraged.
This position requires an individual who has experience buying product for retail consumers-ideally for a retail company. Those who have worked in the acquisition of parts or supplies would not be qualified for this position. The ideal candidate would have previous experience traveling to tradeshows within the United States. Buyers from a retail or catalog company in particular with off price experience would be the best fit.
Applicants must:
Have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a directly related field Have 2 years of experience in the field of business Computer literacy required with extensive knowledge of Excel. Must be team oriented and have an eagerness to work in a fast paced atmosphere. This is a fully in person position in Beverly, MA-there is no remote or work at home option as you work within the team directly with products in the office.
