Top Community Health Executive focuses on advancing local, state and national health advocacy efforts. Responsible for overseeing community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Being a Top Community Health Executive determines community health initiatives to pursue and directs best practices implementation. Participates in and approves grant proposals and monitors overall use of grant funds. Additionally, Top Community Health Executive oversees all community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Typically requires a master's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Top Community Health Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
The work experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
At the GS-9 and above, many positions may require experience in a specialty area of nursing. GS-9provide highly specialized nursing care to high risk populations in the setting of clinics, homes, schools, and communities; develop health education materials, investigates health problems in the community to identify potential/outbreak situations-field epidemiology; leads and coordinates wellness clinics.
