The HIM data associate creates and maintains SER dictionaries and Epic master files for the organization in accordance with all UFP and SUF department standards related to dictionary protocols. The associate will respond to all new user requests or updates to current dictionaries, as well as working all edits and validations. The associate is accountable for the accuracy of the dictionary entries. The associate is also responsible for coordinating all dictionary requests to make sure they are approved by the necessary parties and for ensuring dissemination of specific information to the appropriate parties, such as B/AR management, the UF finance department, Faculty Practice Decision Support (FPDS), business operations and managed care. The HIM data associate will also work all assigned communication management pools daily. They will ensure all closed notes are routed to the proper PCP/referring source without any template issues. Is it also the responsibility of the associate to communicate with various clinic managers, or their designee, to resolve any issues that might arise while working that clinic's comm. management pool. If they are unsuccessful in obtaining a resolution, they are to advise their supervisor. The associate is held accountable for routing communication timely and accurately.
