We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, financial management, and regulatory reporting. This is a key leadership role within the organization, requiring excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Conduct accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions
- Manage the purchasing functions and negotiate with vendors for pricing
- Conduct the bi-weekly payroll function
- Track and pay sales rep commission payments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management principles
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities
