Position Overview
Account Executive are responsible for selling and developing new sales of turf care equipment, allied, landscape and certain commercial products to assigned landscape contractors, national accounts and sports, fields, and grounds (SF&G) accounts.
What You’ll Do
· Responsible for selling turf care equipment, allied products, landscape products and certain commercial products inside a specific territory
· Conduct routine field sales calls to assigned customers and prospect new business sales within the assigned territory
· Possess a clear understanding and working knowledge of STI operations to be able to manage the customer’s expectation throughout the sales, delivery and service lifecycles
· Possess the ability to operate and use all products and equipment lines
· Provide technical product assistance and advice for equipment, parts and other related needs
· Provide timely and accurate pricing to customers while striving to maintain maximum profit margins, manage the bid and administration process for State contract business
· Develop sales strategy which ensures attainment of sales goals, sales growth and profitability with current and prospective SF&G accounts
· Maintains accurate records of projects, prospects, tasks, sales projections and quotes
· Ability to effectively speak in public and conduct proposals and presentations
· Provide timely and effective communication to internal and external business partners regarding items such as trade-in equipment, customer issues, equipment demos, loaner equipment
· Responsible for reviewing and ensuring manufacturer rebates are submitted and current
· Assists and/or develop marketing plans to build brand awareness and product promotions
· Attend manufacturing/vendor product training meetings and work local and regional industry trade shows
· Assist branches in the annual inventory and other tasks when necessary
Skills We Are Seeking
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience selling
· Experience selling in the turf industry is a plus
· Knowledge of landscape products, power equipment and related parts is highly preferred
· Must have excellent selling, written and verbal communication and customer service skills
· Must be good with people, extremely tactful and professional
· Must maintain annual manufacturer training requirements
· Must live within the designated responsible territory
· Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurance standards
· Proficient in Microsoft products
