Top Facilities Management Executive leads overall operations and develops the strategy and policies to deliver design, planning, implementation, construction, and maintenance of an organization's facilities and properties. Plans and allocates the capital, equipment, and operating budget to support current operations and long-term facility plans. Being a Top Facilities Management Executive ensures the reliability of all building mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems. Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions for contractors selected for facility projects and the delivery of services. Additionally, Top Facilities Management Executive establishes building operations policies, procedures, and service standards to comply with all local laws and regulations. May be responsible for additional facility-related functions like food services, security, safety, environmental, or administrative services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Facilities Management Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. A new and exciting Assistant Director of Facilities opportunity has just opened up at an award winning hospital in Southern New Mexico! This reputable hospital is seeking an Assistant Director of Plant Operations to support in leading their dynamic team.
The Director will join an established Community Health Center that has been providing top quality care in New Mexico for the last 40 years. This 100 bed healthcare system recently received Joint Commission Accreditation and continues to rank in the top 10% of hospitals in the United States in Women’s Health excellence. This Hospital specializes in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Delivery Land Maternal Care Services, and a full spectrum of Radiology/Imaging Services.
The Assistant Director of Plant Operations will report to the tenured Chief Executive Officer and work in collaboration with other healthcare leaders to maintain everyday operations of the hospital. This position encompasses oversight of three departments; Facilities Management, Safety and Disaster Management. The Director of Plant Operations will supervise facility maintenance managers and plant operator leads.
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines, advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures will fall to the Assistant Director of Plant Operations. Additional responsibilities will include inspecting the facility to identify safety, health and environmental risks while implementing inspection policies and procedures to address risks.
A candidate with strong acute care facility leadership and experience with mechanical systems, water treatment management and plant utilities will surely make for a quick interview for the Assistant Director opening.
