Scope of Position
Fairfield Community Development Corporation (“FCDC”) is a 501(c)(3) consisting of stakeholders from the Fairfield neighborhood and Marshall University, Cabell Hospital, the City of Huntington, the Huntington Housing Authority (“Institutional Partners”). FCDC’s vision is to enhance the physical, economic and social aspects of life for all residents of the Fairfield community and those who work there. This vision includes restoring the creation and maintenance of affordable housing and commercial real estate, education of residents, promotion of healthy lifestyles and increases the economic wealth of residents regardless of ability to pay, ethnicity, race gender, age and/or sexual orientation in the neighborhood of Fairfield in Huntington, West Virginia.

Position Summary
The FCDC executive director is responsible for leading the effort to transform a historic neighborhood and elevate the quality of life for those who live, work, worship and play in the Fairfield neighborhood.
The executive director leads and oversees the implementation of the FCDC’s goals and clearly articulates the plans and vision of FCDC to constituents and stakeholders. The position also leads the continuing collaboration and community-based neighborhood planning processes.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, nonprofit management, public affairs, business administration or related field or equivalent knowledge/experience. Desirable:
Master’s Degree in related field; urban planning and community development experience. Experience in nonprofit management. Experience in obtaining and managing grants and nonprofit funding.
