    • Oversees the department digitalization and innovation strategy in collaboration with the management team and internal partners.
    • Develops, creates, maintains, and supports quality systems which drive HVB plant processes.
    • Develops a vision regarding HVB quality systems required in the future to achieve plant objectives and targets.
    • Serves as a primary point of contact across their assigned department by providing expert knowledge and troubleshooting skills in understanding and evaluation of complex data sets.
    • Develops and produces visualizations of data that give insight into patterns, trends, or correlations within the HVB processes for working level decision making.
    • Designs and implements impactful business visualizations, dashboards, and reports for management overview and communication.
    • Collaborates closely with key central and local partners to ensure alignment with BMW Group and plant initiatives.
    • Implements projects related to quality systems and functions within the HVB plant including proper communication to management.
    • Coordinates necessary continuous training to ensure proficiency of users.
    • Analyzes business critical data and recommends improvements.
    • Evaluates current HVB quality systems and updates solutions to ensure latest user enhancements.
    • Analyzes process issues associated with quality systems and modifies systems accordingly.
    • Maintains and upgrades all equipment necessary for user to utilize quality systems.
    • Steers the upskilling of associates on digitalization and innovation initiatives and technologies.
    • Develops and maintains departmental communication portals (e.g., T-Cube) and web sites.
    • Maintains, updates and conceptualizes new reports which meet the needs of the end customer and supports the plant business needs.
    • Analyzes large volumes of data; understands and explores data critical to BMW s business.
    • Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
    • Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
    • Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
    • Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources, data gathering and communication techniques.
    • Reports to the management team and stakeholders on the implementation of business solutions.
    • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
    • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications
    • BA/BS degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or related field. MA/MS degree (preferred). OR AA/AS degree in Engineering or related field AND 2 years of professional IT experience. OR The equivalent of 4 years of related professional IT experience.
    • 2 years of programming experience with Python, Java, C#, SQL, PL/SQL or basic web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and/or report development.
    • 2 years of experience working in an IT applications and Systems Development environment.
    • 2 years project experience in implementing/configuring IT systems.
    • 2 years report development experience.
    • 2 years of experience conceptualizing and implementing new tracking or reporting systems.
    • 2 years of experience using relational database systems (Oracle preferred).
    • 1 years training others in software related fields.
    • 2 years specializing in Data Visualization Platforms(Tableau, Qlik,PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos, Informatica preferred).
    • 2 years knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, and C .including SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, and NoSQL databases.
    • 2 years of MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access).
    • 2 years of interpersonal/communication and planning/organizational skills.
    • 1 years knowledge in database technologies
    • German language skills (preferred).
