Transportation Director jobs in Nashua, NH

Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forecast and meet capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Director oversees the acquisition and oversight of transportation providers. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Transportation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Transportation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Southern Regional Run

    • Average starting pay: $0.47CPM

    • Average Weekly Pay: $1300-$1400

    • $6 per Stop

    • $6 per DH

    • Average annual pay: $75K

    • Home Weekly

    • Usually Monday – Friday

    • Back in afternoon or evening

    • Full Benefits

    • Medical, Dental, Vision, Rx, & 401K


    Requirements:

    • Minimum 21 years of age

    • Current Class A CDL from your state of residence

    • Minimum 1 year Experience - Regional/OTR

    • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years

    • No more than 2 DOT recordable accidents within 3 years
