Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forecast and meet capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Director oversees the acquisition and oversight of transportation providers. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Transportation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Transportation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Pay: $17.00- $18.50/hour
Hours: Morning shift: 5:30am- 12pm
Afternoon shift: 12pm-5pm
All day shift: 8am- 4pm
Must have Massachusetts drivers' license

Duties
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger or cargo details
Experience
- Previous experience as a transport driver or in a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with paratransit, van driving, limousine driving, school bus driving, or delivery driving is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and provide clear instructions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
