Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily treasury operations. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • What You Will Do: This position, under direct supervision, is responsible for coordinating financial data, transaction gathering, journal entry generation, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting related to cash and sales functions. The position is responsible for maintaining and processing reports for management relating to store deposits, returned checks, and various cash items. The position will also be responsible for supporting banking/treasury activities. What We’re Looking For:      Pull and record daily funding for Credit Cards      Pull and record Canadian tender daily for foreign currency      Record and clear Disbursements daily through banking institution       Maintain cash drawer accounts including researching variances and recording necessary journal entries for all Canadian accounts      Download, match, and reconcile daily store sales and daily bank deposits daily      Pull Daily Tender and update tender report/graphs      Research and resolve store and bank discrepancies daily Maintain Cash Drawer accounts to include researching variances and recording necessary journal entries for US accounts.      Prepare and post journal entries to correct discrepancies as needed      Post accounting transactions to proper general ledger accounts      Perform the month-end bank reconciliations according to the month-end closing schedule and all tasks       Prepare reports associated with chargebacks, returned checks, and other various items every month as required      Update tender graphs for management every month      Maintain all chargeback schedules and journal entries for loss      Process and maintain customer refunds to include research/cancellations of payments      Process new vendor setups      Work closely with other departments on various customer issues      Assist manager as backup on daily tasks and cash projection when needed      Assist fellow team members with job functions   Additional Requirements:         Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, clients, and other members of the organization      Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure      Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages      Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, clients, and other members of the organization       Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists      Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form       Ability to self-motivate to prioritize and manage commitments, and multi-task to meet competing deadlines in a high-volume environment       Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts and to work effectively in a professional team environment      Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate      Proactively assist others. Treasury Analysts seem to be robots plugging in numbers to spreadsheets, but the Director of Billing basically is responsible for and involved in all accounting related to revenues – deferring unearned, accruing unbilled, dealing with auditors, analyzing to ensure accuracy, determining appropriate accruals for bad debt, some forecasting of future billing and/or cash flow, etc.
