Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily treasury operations. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • • Deep knowledge and ability to create and update forecasting models in Excel• Update and analyze the weekly forecast and identify, investigate, and communicate the root cause for any significant variances• Monitor the daily cash position for adequate cash flow in the near term• Perform Program Administration in various banking software to ensure adequate access for required users• Maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet of all bank user access• Maintain a banking schematic including signers on accounts and products on accounts • Aid in the set up of merchant processing services and attaching the appropriate bank accounts as well as maintain a database of MIDs and related information• Prepare and update bank fees schedules and identify key fee savings across the banking landscape• Primary back up to maintain daily cash position • Manage and approve all positive pay exceptions • Primary back up to update weekly down payment and house model and update forecast accordingly• Maintain a Treasury Calendar of critical payment requirements• Maintain a cash movement folder of all weekly transactions for ease of cash movement approvals, reconciliation and research• Update and develop desk procedures for all Treasury Analyst functions• Open and close corporate bank accounts• Complete documentation as required by financial institutions• Coordinate the set-up of bank products and services used by Treasury or other departments• Execute electronic payments (Fed wires and ACH) using financial institutions online platforms• Print and distribute reports as necessary• Primary back up to create cash entry general ledger journal entries• Research and resolve bank questions and reconciliation issues• Research and resolve general client/vendor inquiries and requests• Primary back up for processing and reconcile merchant card transactions, returns, and chargebacks• Special projects when assigned based on priorities set by management• All other duties as requested

Treasury Analysts seem to be robots plugging in numbers to spreadsheets, but the Director of Billing basically is responsible for and involved in all accounting related to revenues – deferring unearned, accruing unbilled, dealing with auditors, analyzing to ensure accuracy, determining appropriate accruals for bad debt, some forecasting of future billing and/or cash flow, etc.
