UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's UNIX operating systems and all related systems or software. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software and ensures scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. Being a UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on both UNIX server and UNIX desktop systems. Responsible for backup or recovery procedures. Additionally, UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Act as an innovative subject matter expert to guide the development of technical solutions for ACB. Provide system administration of the ACB Network, key infrastructure and application systems and oversee installation, performance, monitoring, patching, backup, and restore activities. One key responsibility for this role is to build a strong working relationship with our Operations Team and engage in a hands-on manner to solve problems alongside the team. Working with the IT leadership team, the Senior Systems Administrator assists with creation of best practices, processes and policies that align with ACB's strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of experience working as a systems administrator. Experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, SQL, DRaaS, Veeam, VMware, firewalls, networking, and administrating video conferencing technologies preferred.
