The Underwriter Assistant will work on a hybrid schedule in the Jencap Largo office. 

The Assistant Underwriter will assist in the issuance of policies and documenting files in the policy operating system and support the underwriting team with correspondence, notes and documents.

Responsibilities:

• Support retail agents in gathering information/documents using tasks/reminders and Outlook. 
• Inspection ordering, review and discrepancy/recommendation handling
• Processing cancellation and Reinstatement Notices
• Processing Pre-Audit Correspondence; Closed Even Audits and Premium Bearing Audits
• Claims reporting and confirmations
• Processing all endorsements
• Gradually learn the renewal quote process in development of underwriting skills for the future 

Requirements: 

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent experience preferred. Risk management course completion preferred
• Insurance background and/or experience preferred. Minimum 3 years.
• Strong customer service skills (verbal and written) and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team and uphold high service standards
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word  

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The base pay range for the role will be $45,000 to $50,000. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
