Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Overview:
This role is part time averaging 3 days a week
This role is generally responsible for providing clinical support in a vascular medical office. The Surgical Technician will collaborate with clinical leadership in the performance of the clinical and patient care aspects of his/her duties, and will always act within scope of practice under the authority of attending surgeon and nursing staff.
This role will report to the Office Manager for operational matters and to clinical leadership for clinical matters.
This role is non-exempt.
