Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Shipping Supervisor - Bilingual is a plus!
We are currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor with a strong shipping background with leadership experience an a excellent communicator at our Hardeeville facility. The shift starts at 7am with a salary range from $50,000 - $60,000 per year depending upon experience. Shift schedule is Monday-Friday until Finish an occasional weekend my be required during peak seasons. Potential candidates must have the ability to lift 75lbs on occasions. Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
Primary Duties:- Responsible for ensuring all functions are properly staffed to execute varied work volume. Manage flow of outbound orders with a team of 10-20 employees in a 167,000 square foot facility.
- Hold daily huddles with team so that each employee has clear daily expectations.
- Responsible for the pulling, packaging, verification and shipment in support of The Warehouse USA On-Time delivery commitment.
- Supervise the efforts of assigned area associates to process work accurately and timely. Assign and monitor workloads.
- Foster team and individual employee growth, including new employee hires, training, evaluations and cross training.
- Supervises the loading and unloading of trucks.
- Knowledgeable of distribution activities and systems, including WMS. Ability to use RF scanner or WMS workstation
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- Excellent leadership skills are required, able to set goals and reach them.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical strength; must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- High School Degree or equivalent required.
- Experience with managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or similar fields preferred.
- 3-5 years in a management role or similar on-the-job Warehouse experience.
REQUIREMENTS- Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Must pass a background check.
- Able to operate lift equipment, as assigned. Able to lift/carry 50 lbs., push/pull 75 lbs., and stand/walk on concrete surface for 8 hours per day with regular bending, and reaching.
