Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager jobs in New Jersey
Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Village of Ridgewood, Ridgewood Water is seeking a full-time (M-F, 40-hour work week) Water Treatment Plant Operator. Such candidate should have one (1) year of experience in operating, adjusting, regulating, repairing, and maintaining electric motors, pumps, valves, and other electrical and mechanical equipment of the type used in a water treatment plant, pumping station or filtration plant.
· Candidates must possess knowledge of water operations, ability to work independently, and be detail oriented.
· Applicants should possess a valid NJ Public Water Treatment Operator License T1, or be able to achieve same within one year of hiring.
· Salary will be commensurate with experience.
