Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Ensure that regulatory permit requirements are met. Handle hazardous waste and assist with general department cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Ability to read, understands, and follows written procedures and instructions in English.
- Maintain equipment and operational logs for two separate facilities that process spent chemical solutions.
- Monitor the automatic treatment areas as well as performing manual waste water treatment.
- Member of TPCG-Logan spill response team and may be required to respond to chemical spills.
- Responsible to wash empty containers.
- Conduct facility security checks.
