POSITION SUMMARY |
The mission of the Engineering Technician is to - Provide technical support to TPC daily operations
- Improve efficiency and robustness of current product lines
- Support development of new processes
- Monitor and support improvements in product quality

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |
|
Safety and Compliance - Enforces compliance to safety rules and standards.
- Immediately documents and reports any unsafe conditions to the shift supervisor.
- Reports any concerns of potentially harmful environmental practices to the Shift Supervisor and/or Management.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 manufacturing standards as applicable

Process Development - Collaborates with Process and Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance staff concerning :
- Design of new products, processes, and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Any redesign of products, processes, or tooling (whether originating from the customer or internally) that might affect critical to safety, risk management or other characteristics of the program

Process Improvement and Maintenance - Provides technical support to keep equipment running quality product within specified process limits.
- Evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, production equipment capabilities, processing methods, and quality control standards.
- Develops and evaluates production procedures, processes and production employees’ skills as well as makes recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Continually assists in the collection and analysis of production performance data.
- Perform production floor work as required to analyze production process, meet quality and scheduling demands and provide assistance and support to manufacturing cells.
- Leads and supports product trials as required

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills: | |
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing operation or support.
- Experience in flexible materials (sheet extrusion, blown film extrusion, printing, coating, laminating, converting)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
- A proven track record of continual learning
