Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     • Achieve and maintain the required welder certification;
    • Fabricate, inspect, and repair lifting devices;
    • Forward test samples to the Welding and Fabrication Lead Person as required; and
    • Maintain a safe working environment.
    • Machining duties may be required.
    • Perform other functions as required.

    Job Experience Requirements:

    • Welder Certification
    • Must be able to air arc.
    • Experience Mig welding with .035, .045, 1/16" hard wire and dual shield 
    • Oxygen/Acetylene torch cutting 
    • Align Boring - field machining is a plus 
    • Mechanical experience a plus
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
