Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION DESCRIPTION

    QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training and/or Experience)

    • Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, or related field
    •  Licensure as a mental health professional in the State of Arkansas per requirements of the Medicaid OBH Manual  
    • Working knowledge of and ability to use personal computer for e-mail and electronic medical record
    •  Provide clinical supervision as required by OBH

    ONGOING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Maintain licensure 
    • Capacity to function effectively within the context of the cultural beliefs, behaviors, and needs of clients and the community
    • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have typing/keyboarding ability to use computer as required. Must be able to communicate by speaking and writing in an understandable manner.  Must be able to operate standard office equipment. Mild level of activity including walking, standing, sitting and occasional light lifting.  Regular attendance at work is a requirement of this position.

    POSITION GOAL

    The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing mental health assessment, case coordination, and treatment to individuals and families according to established performance indicators.

    FLSA CLASSIFICATION:  Exempt

    PERFORMANCE INDICATORS/EXPECTATIONS

    1)  Position specific tasks

    a)  List specific tasks of the job

    b)  Service goal (only include for those with a goal outside of PIP)

    2)  Outcome Expectations

    a)  Complete paperwork according to timeliness standards (no more than 6 late notes/TP per month).

    b)  Complete of Assessments according to specified timelines (PHQ-9/ PHQ9A, DLA-20, Safety Plan, etc.).

    c)  Complete of Person Centered Treatment plan according to program and payer standards.  Treatment plans must be individualized and in the client's words, include future planning beyond symptom management and updated/ documented without carryover of goals for a year.

    d)  Progress note narrative reflects medical necessity and is clinically appropriate (appropriate length of time for the documented intervention and the evidenced based intervention is appropriate for the service provided).

    e)  Responsiveness to failed activities and claims.

    3)  Compliance

    a)  Display adequate knowledge and adherence to policies and procedures.  Responsible to sign Policy Tech/ Navex, Employee Handbook, EOC manual and others.  Knowledge of location and how to access OBHAW manuals.

    b)  Follow OBHAW security and confidentiality policies at all times, access client and staff information only as needed for job duties and as approved by supervisor

    c)  Comply with OBHAW computer, social media,  and internet usage policy, reporting problems, and suggest improvements to OBHAW procedures, software, and equipment

    d)  Complete required annual online training (Relias) and any other training according to OBHAW

    4)  Collaboration

    a)  Follow appropriate lines of communication to report and resolve problem situations according to established guidelines, chain of command, and approved committee actions.

    b)  Accept constructive criticism related to performance and demonstrating acceptance by taking personal responsibility for appropriate change. (Supervisor will document improvement efforts for any score below a 3 in each monthly supervision).

    c)  Use appropriate e-mail etiquette such as replying to e-mails in a timely fashion, using discretion when forwarding another person's e-mail, encrypting all non OBHAW emails, and using personal e-mail accounts for non-work related e-mails.

    d)  Adhere to work schedule and submitting requests for leave according to OBHAW procedures. Unscheduled PTO/Absences (leave taken that is not scheduled and approved in advance) should not exceed 3 in a 12-month period.

       Abide by all requirements outlined in the Minimum Child Care Licensing Manual

      Provide services as ordered on the Person-Centered physician signed treatment plan

      Assist with therapeutic holds utilized at last resort

      Provide supervision for interns

    Collaborate, coordinate, & guide treatment team regarding client behavior, treatment, services & debriefings as   needed

    Provide 6 direct service hours per day

    Cover door duty as assigned on monthly door duty schedule & make arrangements for coverage if unable to complete assignment

    Monitor clients during breakfast, lunch and special events as needed
