Workers' Compensation Manager jobs in Kansas

Workers' Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing a company's workers' compensation program. Implements all matters of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Being a Workers' Compensation Manager establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to workers' compensation. Responsible for finding an insurance provider that meets organizational goals of employee coverage and cost effectiveness. Additionally, Workers' Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Workers' Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Workers' Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     To be a successful Compensation & Benefits Manager you must become able to do the following always:

    1. Administer company benefits and wellness programs and contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Company’s Compensation Plan.  Coordinate open enrollment. Research and recommend annual enhancements or other changes to Company compensation and benefit package. Train and educate employees on company offered benefits.
    2. Oversee and assist with unemployment, FMLA, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Short and Long-Term Disability and provide requested data to benefit providers and the Bureau of Labor Statistics
    3. Responsible for providing wage calcs, maintaining the Company wage schedule, and working with HR Coordinators on employment offers.
    4. Human Resources Information System (HRIS) lead including implementation, assistance, and maintenance.
    5. Provide direct supervision and support of supervisees utilizing the Company model for supervision, Supervision for Success.
    6. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
