    For the GS-0601-15 Supervisory Medical Health Scientist you will :

    • Apply professional subject matter expertise and judgement in serving as a principal advisor to program management about the application of medical health science necessary for effective administration of the EEOICPA.
    • Provide case management support to ensure timely, accurate and qualitive responses to information requests solicited by program case adjudication staff about different medical health science topics.
    • Conduct routine evaluation of unit staff written work products to ensure that the application of medical health science communicates logical, compelling, substantiated, and well-written responses to inquiries.

    Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

    Qualifying specialized experience for GS-15 includes:

    • Serving as an expert or principal advisor about the application of medical health science.
    • Responding to information requests about different medical health science topics.
    • Developing, managing or leading staff.
    • Delivering well-organized, informative oral presentations to non-medical or non-scientific audiences, including organization leaders, employees and the public.
    • Conducting research and analysis of data related to occupational toxic substance exposure or epidemiological health effects.

In addition, supervisors are responsible, when requested, for assisting agency ethics officials in evaluating potential conflicts of interest and identifying positions subject to financial disclosure requirements.
